Two oils submitted to the Bangor Art Society annual juried show May 1 - June 1, 2021.

‘Edge of Evening’ was worked from a sketch and a photo from 2019. I was just leaving work in Acadia National Park, Schoodic District on a late December afternoon.

‘Cool Summer at Sullivan Quarry’ was worked from a number of small sketches, a photo and memory of a quarry in Sullivan. Incorporating what I remembered of my visit somehow made the painting come together easily.
